Blogging is one of the best ways to make money online. This post is to discuss the 5 common misconceptions about blogging and bloggers.

Many people’s lives have changed for the better since they became bloggers. One problem with blogging is that people, especially newbie bloggers have some misconceptions about blogging.

To blog, you must have some things which are considered as very important in order to earn from your blog. This things include money for campaigns to get traffic amongst others.

Let’s talk about some of the misconceptions about blogging:

1. Bloggers are filthy rich:

In fact, this is the most common misconception about blogging. Many people believe that all bloggers are filthy rich. This is not true for every blogger, especially newbies.

To earn an average income from blogging, you must be consistent, have a strategy, work endlessly and most of all publish quality contents. To get adsense approval is not even easy work for most of us.

2. Blogging is a get-rich-quick scheme:

Perhaps the most untrue misconception of all. Blogging is believed by many to be a get-rich-quick scheme. People believe you can make cash in less than a week of starting a blog. Meanwhile, this is absolutely false. Like I mentioned earlier, it takes weeks and months of consistency to boast of a good income. Apart from that, if you don’t have the passion for blogging, you will fail drastically. Many have failed in the blogosphere because they could not make as much as they thought.

3. Bloggers have the answer:

I was once approached by a friend a while ago who asked me a very difficult question. When I could not answer, he was surprised. He told me “I thought you people know everything from google”. I was equally surprised by his statement.

All bloggers have their own niche which they choose to write about. The saying: ” No man is an island of Knowledge” does not exclude bloggers.

4. Bloggers earn from my data:

This is the most ridiculous of all misconceptions and you will be surprised at how many people believe this. A newbie blogger once asked how he can connect his bank account to his blog so that when visitors visit, he will immediately earn some income. I laughed so hard. Bloggers earn from your data only when youboerform a particular task.

Some blogs display ads as their mode of earning. When you click this ad, the blogger earns a little token (mostly $0.05). You see blogging is not as easy as it looks. While others sell their services and some promote affiliate products.

5. Anyone can blog:

Now this is so Not true. If you don’t have the passion, you might find yourself walking out of the blogging gate in no time.

People who blog have vast ideas on the topic they blog about. Some spend hours making researches and formatting posts in order to get the result they desire.
