SEO: WHY KEYWORD STUFFING WON’T RANK YOUR CONTENT.
Content marketers, Social media marketer or SEO marketers, whatsoever kind of digital marketer you are. You must have heard the phrase “CONTENT IS KING”.
Yes, indeed content is king but what makes content king is its keyword placement.
Content is king simply because keyword is key.
The authority of a king is in its royal staff or royal ringlet. Without these the authority of a king can never be established.
So also is content, the authority (quality) of a content is in it keyword (staff or royal ring).
How efficient and appropriate your keyword is determines the relevance and quality, and ranking of your content at the end.
The belief of most digital marketers especially the newbies is that keyword stuffing increases the quality of your content ranking.
But the opposite is the result when you stuff your content with the same keywords more than necessary.
Do you have to repeat a keyword verbatim for as many times as possible to enhance the authority of your keyword, NO!
But traditionally it was believed yes.
Then what do you do if you need not repeat a particular keyword verbatim as often times as you can in a content?
You use what is called LSI – Latent Semantic Indexing keyword.
Latent Semantic Keywords are keywords related to the seed keywords.
They are similar keywords to the root keywords. Example of LSI keywords for the root word “CAR” should be “VEHICLE, AUTOMOBILE, MOTOR”.
Or the root word “HOW TO BECOME AN ACCOUNTANT IN NIGERIA” can be given as HOW TO GET A CAREER IN ACCOUNTING IN NIGERIA, or LEAD A PROFESSION IN ACCOUNTING IN NIGERIA.
It is expected that the word career or profession should go with the subject BECOMING AN ACCOUNTANT IN NIGERIA.
When you use words similar as the root word. Search engine optimises your content as relevant and not as spam.
When constructing your content it is best you use LSI instead of stuffing your content with a particular keyword.
A recent study revealed that Google Panda in it new update determines the quality of a content by recognising the usage of Latent Semantic Keyword.
While contents with no LSI are considered Spam. Thus little or no rank are given to such rank.
So next time when you do your content ensure to do not just keyword research but Latent Semantic Indexing Keyword search, to search for related words to avoid content keyword stuffing.
You can visit Lsigraph to do your LSI keywords search.
